Anyone used a stamp to drive a brushless sensorless DC motor

Hi,
I am trying to find any information on how I would go about driving
a brushless sensorless DC motor (hobby airplane motor) with a stamp.
The stamp will be interfaced with a reciever from a remote control
and I have a reasonable idea of how to go about this but am at a
standstill with how to go about driving the motor.
I believe the usual contollers get feedback from the coils of the
motor itself to figure out what the motor is doing.
Any help is much appreciated.
Mark.

A great place to start is the www.parallaxinc.com site, they have tons of
related apps. What type of project is this for? If it is a model airplane you
can put some refletive paint on the prop and use a IR light source to track
RPM. I would use PWM with a MOSFET to control motor. What size motor is it?

Yes it is for a model aircraft motor, 0-14 Volt range, 0-25 Amp
range. Thanks for the tip of using an IR reflective setup for RPM
hadn't thought of that one. I have looked over the parallax website
but have not really found information on brushless sensorless DC
motors as yet (three wires coming out of motor)but I will try back at
their site to see if I overlooked anything.
I guess I'm still trying to figure out the signal type sent to the
motor as well, ie how is it sequenced. I understand the concept of
PWM itself but am unsure of how to use it to drive a three wire
brushless sensorless DC motor.
Thanks,
Mark.
