Hello, I'm trying to use a keyboard encoder (Hagstrom KE24) to enable a pic
or stamp to send key presses to a pc application. I'm having trouble
getting it to work using serial data, I.E. Micron sends serial data to the
rs232 port on the keyboard encoder, keyboard encoder sends key data to pc.

I've verified that the serial data is being sent correctly (using
hyperterminal), and I've set the baud rate on the KE24 to match the baud
rate of the micron.

Has anyone done this? Any advice?

I am looking at the specs. of a small transmitter which lists the max
modulation frequency as 4KHz. How would this translate into a data rate?
I want to use it to send data between the stamp and a computer. Would the
data rate be 4000bps or something less than this?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Without some fancy encoding, such as phase shift keying, 4,000 bps will also
    be the maximum data rate.
