connect a regular modem to the BS2 ????

How do I connect a BS2 to a regular external modem????
And do I have to program the modem first?? how ????

I have search the parallax website but I only found information how to
connect a stampmodem.
Ours and ours of work to get it working and stil nothing.........

Please help me.

Hi Emile,

Just by chance, our project of the month uses a modem to read caller ID
this month. Maybe not exactly what you want, but it might give you some
ideas: http://www.al-williams.com/som.htm

A few tips:

1) Modems are DCE. If you have something that would normally hook to a
PC, you'll need a cross cable (null modem adapter).

2) Don't use port 16!

3) Keep the speed low

4) You may have to use handshaking (flow control)
