I recently built a cool robot with a DigiQ car and a BS-2 IC. This
robot car is the size of a matchbox car and very cool. Check it out
at www.irbot.com. Hope you enjoy, it is a very easy project.

Being a non-US person I wonder if you have a link anywhere for the car
itself - it looks like a very cool little toy - probably worth ordering by
mailorder.

For something a bit bigger :) and a bit more expandable check out the
ARobot at http://www.robotics.com/arobot which also uses the BS2. Big
metal base and a decent gear motor (not a modified rc servo), rear
wheel steering, etc. Projects page at
http://www.robotics.com/arobot/projects.html which includes digital
compass, speech, sonar, etc. A fully suped up one would look like
this http://www.robotics.com/arobot/501c.html

IR-Racer here in the UK.
You can buy it from the Gadget shop, and Argos (both On-line)
Has anyone reverse engineered the control protocol yet?
