Parallax Toddler Robot: 29 left in stock

Hello customers,
Parallax has 18 blue and 11 gold Toddlers left in stock at
http://www.parallaxinc.com/toddler. These will be gone within a few more
days so I'm providing an advance warning that we'll be out of stock. This
note will also have the effect of quickly selling off our remaining
inventory. My hope is that I'll reach those who had their eye on a Toddler
but didn't want to wait too much longer to get one.
Once we're out of Toddlers, it'll be about two months before we have stock
again (late November). This is because we placed an order larger than our
first production run and significant hard tooling must be manufactured. The
first production run was done without tooling.
If you want to get some real user feedback on the Toddler, try the newsgroup
one of our customers created at:

On that newsgroup we've announced a $250 Parallax credit for the customer
who writes well-documented BS2 code blending the tilt and stride movements
while doing object detection with infrared (the pieces of this application
are already written in the Toddler's manual, which is available for
download). At present, all examples tilt, then stride to walk, rather than
blending a tilt with stride for more fluid movement. Must be an elegant code
solution using the EEPROM-based approach employed elsewhere the text. And,
we reserve the right to reject submittals while asking you to remain our
