Hi John,
Check out Home Power magazine at any good magazine stand (I know Barnes &
Noble carries it) or at www.homepower.com. They have a LOT of info about
small systems such as you are describing, using alternate energy (wind,
solar, hydro) and efficient ways to use that energy, including LED and
compact fluorescent lighting. The really cool thing is, you can download the
latest issue for FREE (my personal favorite four letter word!) They have all
of their back issues available on CD, too.
