Runout Detector

I am tring to design an Eddy current detector for
shaft runout. I have been successful in being able to
detect the linear distance to the shaft. However I can
not detect the runout when the shaft is rotating. I am
tring to detect upto 10Khz but only seem to be able to
detect less than 100Hz.
Any help would be appreciated.
