welcome to the group. Let me take the chance to express my pleasure to be in
this very friendly and extremely helpful group. So, it had to be said
finally... :-)
Your project sounds very interesting, would you mind to explain how exactly
those electric matches work? Have been thinking about the problem from time
to time, I once used resistor wire that gets hot when you aply current but
it is not at all the ideal way...

Uli, as a pseudo-answer to your question...Think of
things from a model rocket standpoint...Model Rockets
use electronic igniters that run usually from 2 to 4
AA batteries...You can get these at almost any hobby
shop. And I know they can be triggered by a stamp
through a power transistor. Not sure if that's what
Dan is using, but thought I'd share that.
