Hello Everyone,
My name is Dan Thames and I am new to the list. I have
started my first Stamp project, which is a Display Fireworks
controller. The design has many relays that will be fired
in a specific sequence and at specific times, based on a
script that is stored in EEPROM. The relays will apply
power to electric matches, in order to fire the shells.
Because of the need to spread out the relays across a large
show front, the need for several separate relay boxes
exists. I am currently looking into connecting the boxes on
a RS485 network and have the fire commands generated by a
Master controller box.
I have no question, at this time, but wanted to just say Hi
and let everyone know what I was trying to do.
Thanks,
Dan Thames

These matches are much the same as you described, but they
also have been dipped in some pyro goop so they make a nice
flame, much like a friction type match. See
http://www.daveyfire.com/html/electricinitiation.htm#Electri
cIgniters
and look at the N Series Fueshead. Model N28B is what I
have. They are pretty standard for pyro work and can be
fired with about 50 miliamps.
Contact me off the list, if you need to talk about them in
detail. There are several homemade solutions also.

Urspr
with An IR controlled robot I made, cool to see it worked with someone else.
