Reading/Writing to a Hard Drive

Hi,

Some one a while back managed to read data off an ATA/IDE hard drive.

What was the URL for that project?

I'm looking at writing to and reading from either a 3.5in or 2.5in ATA/IDE
Hard Drive with a Stamp, so that url would be a great start.

Has anyone else had success in this area?

cheers,

Ben, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Hi,

    This might be it:

    www.barrymichels.com/ide

About half way down the page is where the Stamp stuff starts...

    Ben,

    Maybe Barry Michels' site:
    http://server.barrymichels.com/ide/
    ?
I think in the most recent incarnation, Barry moved the code from a
    Stamp over to a PIC16F877.

    Hi all,

Did a search of the archives today and found the link as below
    (www.barrymichels.com/ide).

Now, the reason I'm looking at accessing an HD is because I will be
embarking on my own mp3 player project using the STA013 mp3 decoder chip.
There is also a complete module available from gigabit tech, called the
mp3mod3, that uses this chip (just need to add the micro, etc.).

I'm thinking of using an HD for storage, or maybe just a 256Mb card (to
store a couple CD's worth of music).

Along with the USB circuitry I've been playing with, I reckon I can build a
cheap version of Apple's iPod. Nowhere near as much capacity or features,
but still, able to download your music via USB, and charge the player while
it's plugged in to the port, etc.

    cheers,

    Ben, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Hi

Is there an easy way to conect a Futaba type servo or floppie disk servo
    to a Basic Stamp?

    Thanks
