Class 1 IR Lasers

Hey Everyone:
Would any one know of a Class 1 IR laser set-up I could point at people for
rangefinding? I would be
interfacing to a BSII, probably. I am currently using sonar, but it has sound
issues (I am going to do R&D on
higher frequency transducers). I have solved the sound issue, sort of, but the
solution does result in a certain
amount of loss of accuracy.
