Javelin stamp in Boe Bot

Has anyone replaced the Basic stamp with the Javelin stamp into Boe Bot?.
Parallax says that
it is pin-by-pin compatible and it works, but in a separate discussion area
it seemed that a couple
of things had to be done, like potentially adding a separate power source
just for the servos because
the Javelin needs a higher voltage than the Basic stamp and when the servos
kick in they cause the
Javelin to reset because they draw to much current away.
If you have done this successfully or work for Parallax and know the
details, could you please let us know
what you have to do?
