stamp editor

Does anyone know if there is an (IDE) stamp editor for use with pocket
pc (Windows CE)? I am not looking for a simple text editor, I would like
to tokenize and download too. If not does anyone have the sources (VB or
C++)for any editor that I could get, to port it over myself. I
appreciate any help. junkmail5@t...

Our engineering staff has made significant progress in porting our assembly
language compiler to C++ so that it can be compiled on non-Wintel operating
systems. We have to hit the big guys like Linux and Mac first, but our hope
is that we will also be able to have a Stamp editor in Palm and
    WinCE/PocketPC devices as well.

It will take a bit of time -- especially since we'll require some outside
    help. It's coming. It's coming.

Is there anyway to obtain the source for the pbasic editor /compiler
that is given away on the parallax site, or any other pbasic
    compiler/editor? Thanks for the help.

No. The compiler portion contains Parallax-proprietary information that we
will not release publicly. Our intent is to precompile modules for several
operating systems and to make those modules available to qualified developers.

Hello from Gregg C Levine normally with Jedi Knight Computers
And here I was thinking that you were actually doing this for fun, like
most of us, Jon. So? How does one qualify for that program of yours?

Our Engineering department is working with established consultants. At some
point, we may get a little "looser" with the modules -- but for now, we're
going to keep things close so that we can ensure that any Stamp editor
    released actually works.

I'd like to volunteer to test the Mac version? :-)

I'm also interested in Mac and Palm support
for a GUI Basic Stamp editor. I'm currently programming
the Basic Stamp 2 and 2sx using a Macintosh iBook
running Connectix Virtual PC 5.02 and Windows 98se.
The Mac is running Apple system 9.2.2 and has
a PowerPC G3 processor at 600Mhz. While this
combination works well, it would be much easier
to program Basic Stamps with just the Mac.

There is a BASIC language program available for the 68HC11 that is
public domain. Build in A/D ports, SPI interface, floating point math,
much more memory, large industry support, It does the same thing the
stamp does, except the code code is public domain. If you have any
interest in this, contact me off list, and I will give you the pointers.

    regards,

    Leroy
