SMA actuators and BASIC Stamps

Just for the record, I am aware that to use an SMA based actuator, or
anything like that with a BASIC Stamp, or any microprocessor based
systems requires a driver that can manage such actuators. That being
said, has anyone worked out the details behind doing so? Will accept
copies of programs, as examples, or even web pages of worked out
examples.
