BS2 with touch screen

I have a project where I need simple inputs (8 graphical buttons)
from a touchscreen monitor to a BS2. The BS2 then would do all kind
of staff inluding fading lights on and off.

Are there any touchscreens that I can interface with the stamp?
Any recommendation for commercial fading units to control lights
from the stamp?

many thanks

Al

    Al,
I have interfaced many Elo Touch products to BS2's I would recommend the
    higher speed modules.
    http://www.elotouch.com
    Good luck!

    Al,
Just for clarification, I mean the higher speed BS2 modules (BS2sx or BS2p).

Thanks for the recommendation. They certainly look great.

However, how can I display graphics on the monitor? The stamp, even
BSx cannot deliver that quality graphics. Do these monitors have
built in memory so that you can download an image to them from a pc
and it would retain that image? Also what data format would the
monitor give to the BSx? RS232? if so, what is the format of the
data received is it in x-y pair?

Hope you can shed some light on this.

    Another possibility is http://www.amulettechnologies.com. The
graphics & buttons are programmed in html and stored in the screen
controller, but you can talk to it via RS232 from the stamp. They
had a booth at the Embedded Systems show near Parallax'.

We use the Palm Pilot for a touch screen, relatively cheap and
programmable. What size do you need?

Sorry, Al. I thought you wanted to work over an existing data or image
screen from a PC. That is how I have used them.

    >Also what data format would the monitor give to the BSx? RS232? if so,

Yes, RS-232. Native format is 9600 but I reset the controllers for 19.2
The packets are easily brought into the stamp by the Serin command.
In my case, I scale them and send them to 12 bit D/A converters at a 15mS
per X-Y pair. Actually, these screens use acoustic technology and we are
able to get an 8 bit Z word for touch pressure (still fits into the 15mS bin).
    Gook luck.
    Mike

    Thanks Tracy

This will do the trick according to the text description on their
website. However, the site is not working properly: not graphics
and I can't find anything about how it works or what monitor I can
    use and also no prices...

    I need a monitor that is 15"

The graphics on the Amulet URL seem to be working okay now from here
now. The controller supports up to 640x480 pixels, monochrome, and
the largest touchscreen they sell is 5.7". So that is way smaller
    than your required 15".
