Problem with Plus Pack LCD display. Help!

Hi all,

I just bought Plus pack LCD and BS2p40 (with demo board of BS2p24,
joined with adapter converter from BS2p24 to BS2p40). As far as I
understand it, I can just plug in the plus pack LCD to X5 in Demo
board and install X6 jumper. Which I did both. I made sure that the
LCD pin is installed properly in X5 slot, meaning: I matched pin 1
to pin 14. For testing, I copy and paste the code provided
from "PlusPack" appKits, the file is called "PP_LCDDEMO1.BSP". I ran
it and the code is downloaded to the microcontroller. However, the
display does not display the hard coded message, which is "The basic
stamp!". Instead, it only display one line of squared blocks. I
adjusted the 100 kohm pot, but it only contrast teh color to darker
and lighter. By the way, I use Window XP.
What did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.

-Maya

I wrote that code for the BS2p-24, so you may need to insert MAINIO before
the LCD subroutines to get them to work properly on the BS2p-40. BTW, we're
close to releasing a BS2p-40 demo board.

I replaced with another plus pack LCD and it works. I guess there is
something wrong with the one I had.
