Hey guys--
I have a project that requires speech. I was curious if anyone had a
used QV306m4p playback module and/or qv430p programmer they wanted to
sell. If not-i'll probably just go ahead and buy both of them. just
thought i might be able to save some money on the project. thanks.
Jon

    Dear Jon,
I have both units. they work very well for experimenting with voice and
the BS2 chip. The listings that are in the Parallax kit shows you how to
use the code and make the chip speak. The ISD chips can be extracted from
the 306 module and reprogrammed with your own code, but look at the
Quadravox web site and you will see enough .zip word files that you will
have everything you need in words. I am working on a vocal GPS module and
it is coming together well, but my time to complete is limited. The
programmer will work to reprogram the modules easily. You only need the 430
to do the job. Download the newer version of the Quadravox programming
software as it works better. It is up on the Parallax web site now. Hope
    this helps
let me know if you need more help

    mike m,

thanks for your input. It was helpful. Were you interested in
selling either one of your quadrovox units? If not, that's fine.
    Thanks again.

306m4 playback module? I'm having problems getting it to work. If

    hey mike,

i have a riptide sound card and i seem to have, for the most part
everything working. i can hear my wav files being played when i
record them, however when i play them back all i get is distortion.
i've messed around with the mixer however the best i can seem to get
is a very, very faint sound in the background with noise over that.
have you had any of these problems? what did you do to fix that?
    thanks
