MS5534 Pressure Sensor

Has anyone interfaced an Intersema MS5534 pressure sensor to a Stamp? Check
out the specs at:
www.intersema.com (Where else?)
I would like to hear from anyone who has tried out this sensor. They are not
cheap ($25 ea in small quantities) but quite accurate. I know there are
cheaper units out there, but I am interested in this one.
Any enlightenment will be appreciated.
TIA
Vic

wire bond it into
the mechanical sensor design itself that your using.
The basic method is to use a ADC (analog to digital converter) to read the
small voltage output changes, run that through a lookup table or conversion
formula and display the result on the output display.
Your accuracy and resolution would depend on whether your using a 8 bit, 10
bit, 12 bit, 16 bit or 24 bit or 32 bit ADC. Since the range is from about
40mv to about 460mv you could use a OpAmp to amplify the signal to improve
resolution too, for example to 0.4v to 4.6v (10x)amplication.
Although there are many ADC's to choose from the www.maxim-ic.com MM6674
thermocouple digital converter tooks very promising, I have some and can't
wait to try them out on a project later. It is still a ADC so it doesn't
nessecarilly have to be used for a thermocouple, you just change your lookup
tables or conversion factors. It has the opamp already built in simplifying
the circuit.

I'm interested in your application.
The 5534 is rated for 1 bar or 14.5 psi or 401 inches of water.
That makes it great for small pressures, and maybe for uses like
altitide or barometric pressure measuring. worthless for flow using
pitot tubes.
For pneumatic applications I can see it may have great uses.
I have not used them, but am always looking for those ultra low,
0.1kpa ranges.
