over ethernet?

For the price you'll be charged getting your two stamps to talk over
ethernet, you'd be well over the cost of find a new micro like the ones that
Rabbit semiconductor with built in ethernet.

I'm not an expert, but I'd at least look at this before I went micro
    shopping....

    http://www.embeddedethernet.com/

They have code for the stamp on their site. Their project uses a Board of
Education, but my guess is it isn't really necessary.

I'm also remembering that there is another device similar to this (in fact the
above site used to link to it) but I can't remember the details. A google search
    should turn up something.

Chris, here is a web site http://www.embeddedethernet.com/ you may want to check
out. They have Ethernet boards that easily connect to a Stamp, as well as other
micros. They also have example code for Stamps. I have not personally used one,
but they appear be an easy Ethernet solution for many projects.
