Thank you to everyone who helped me with my LED question. I have one more
problem. I am trying to create some optoisolators between by my computing
equipment and my motor driver chips. I have this working,(aka the IR LEDs
are emitting light and the IR phototransmitters are showing signs of
detecting light), but unfortunately the control pins on the motor driver
aren't receiving logic level signals from the IR detector. The current
values hover around 2.75+-.25 for on and off states. The chips require a I
in(1) of >2V @ 1.0uA and Iin(0) of <.8V @ -2.0uA. My current faulty
schematic is

If this is wrong (and I assume it is) does anyone know how to create the
inputs for the chip?
