Relay swithcing system using Basic Stamp

Hi all,
I need a help to create a project for my college. The project is
to control 32 or more external appliences using relays. While
searching I pass through this site and thinking the Basic Stamp
will be the cost effective way to do such a project.
This project controlled from a PC's RS232 serial port to
swithcingthe relays. The control should be bi-directional.
Can anyone help me to do this by sending the diagram or outline
for this project using Basic Stamp.
