Will they be controlled individually, or as matched sets?
There are relay control boards that can be connected to a BS2, I belive...
(I don't know how many you can control that way)
Personally, I prefer Dallas Semiconductors' 1-Wire components.
(The DS2406/2407 can source/sink about 40mA, enough for small relays)

Why exactly that one?
Parallax have two nice IR sets...
One uses a 5button 'car alarm' type fob, while the other is to be used as a
link between two BS computers.
(May be used to build a remote that fits your needs exactly)
