Driving Motors with the BS2p

Howdy - first off let me explain that I am a programmer trying to
enter the realm of electronics, so please bear with me =D.
I am trying to use the PWM output of my BS2p to automatically
control the speed two small fans (60mm fans, each run at less than 1
amp), but I am aware that the onboard regulator on the stamp cannot
handle that amount of current. Is there a way to boost the current
output of the BS2p and still be able to use PWM without using a DAC?
Thanks,
