Greetings all! I'm working on a little science project in which I
need to use piezo's to trigger variable voltage inputs on a stamp.
I've got a 2P right now, a couple of piezo's to choose from (of the
Radio Shack variety), a TI 1458 dual op amp, and a major headache.

Can anyone help? My problems are as follows:
1) The output of my circuit has constant 2 volt DC on it, and I
don't understand why.
2) The output of my Op Amp doesn't seem to be any higher than the
output of the piezo without any amplification, even though the
feedback resisters I'm using should give me about a 100:1 ratio.
3) I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking I need to put some kind of
rectifier (maybe just a diode?) on the circuit so that all the input
voltage is positive.
4) In code, I'm not sure how to approach this. Should I put a
conditional that checks to see if the input is high, and if so,
branch to a PULSEIN command? Is there a better way?
5) Do I need an RC circuit to make this work? Will this never work
and I'm just spinning my wheels?

I appreciate any guidance anyone can give!
