BS2P and Integer Math

I've laid out $100 for a BS2P40 and I've found out that it can't do
integer math. I've seen competitors selling similiar products for $80
that can. Is the any chance that a firmware upgrade will become
available so that the BS2P can can do integers or am I just dreaming.

Regards,

How do you figure that the Stamp can't do integer math? It does 16-bit
integer math fine. Perhaps you mean floating point math? If so, have a
look at the PAK-I, II, and IX coprocessors at
    http://www.al-williams.com/awce/pak1.htm

If your problem domain is well-controlled, you can often used integer
math with fixed point techniques to do your math and the performance is
excellent compared to using floating point math.

    Hi Jon,

My mistake, I meant floating point math.

One of the main reasons why I purchased the Stamp was for the assistance
you provide. I'd gladly pay a little extra for all that Parallax does to
support their products. I have no intentions of returning the BS2P, I'm
just interested in improved features whenever they arise.

    Keep up the fine work,

    Chris Dundorf
