Greetings!
This depends on what you want to use it for...
It does have a LCD module, leds, and HIGH POWERED motor drivers, but if you
don't need all that...
Personally, I use the BS2p Demo Board, which have a small plugboard.
(I have a LARGE plugboard that I can use if I need to do much prototyping. I
also had a compatible LCD from my earlier non-stamp days.)
It should also work OK with the BS2/e/sx modules since they are pin
compatible.
(But don't blame me if it doesn't :-)
:-)

Is the NEX-1000 worth the price for a all purpose protyping station?
Are there other less expensive alternatives? I see basic X has one
that will work with some BS2's but it doesnt have the plug board
prototype are and appears to have a solder proto type area.
