Introducing the Toddler Bipedal Robot!
===========================
Really, you've got to see it to appreciate it:
http://www.parallaxinc.com/toddler
The "Advanced Robotics with the Toddler" book marks our sixth Stamps in
Class text. The Toddler walks forward and backward and turns on a dime.
Essentially, it does everything a Boe-Bot can do except it walks! However,
with 34 different movements you'll be doing much more PBASIC programming
than before to find the perfect collaboration between software and
hardware.
This is a high-quality machined kit made primarily from aluminum and brass.
The aluminum parts are anodized or tumbled and acid-etched for an appealing
finish. The metal pieces ave mounting holes and slots for additional
sensors. The Toddler Full Kit is available in blue or gold. It includes all
the robot hardware, a specially-designed BASIC Stamp 2 printed circuit
board, an electronic component package and both the 455-page BASIC Stamp
Manual and 155-page Advanced Robotics text. The text instructs basic
movement and turning, light following, object avoidance, staying on the
table.
Available for $299. We have only 240 units in stock and the next shipment
will be ready in August!
Sincerely,
Ken Gracey, Parallax Inc.
See the new Toddler robot on May 20, 2002!

have DirectX 8.1 installed.
Any ideas?

storm trooper cargo vehicles in the Empire Strikes back. I'm definitely gonna
get one.

left over from a previous installation of another video app. I fixed that
and it works fine now.
I am really excited by the TODDLER. I'm not ready to start 'boting' but
I'll be lloking at the TODDLER when/if I do. The BOEBot is cool and useful,
but I'm really in to combinations of mechanical complexity (walking bots
versus rolling) and complex control functions. If I only had a million
bucks to play with.....

Earlier there was only three AVI files, this morning suddenly there was a
lot more.
Anyway, it's working now. Very nice robot, I like it.

That usually means you don't have the video CODEC that it was made
with. Do you have any other players that might report what
decompressor is missing?
