My BS2 and WINXP

Hey guys, I'd like to try this again! I am trying to hook up ONLY my
BS2 through my Super Carrier Board, to my laptop computer. I do not
have a 9-pin connector on my computer, but I do have a 9-pin to
parallel port adaptor. My question is this: how do I make the
computer recognize my BS2 on that port? I have plugged the BS2 in
and, without changing anything, tried to used the ID feature (to make
sure the BS2 is recognized). It simply said that it detected the BS2,
but for me to check the power supply. But all of the batteries I
tried were good, but still did not work! What could be the problem?
Is it some setting in the computer or something? Any information is
always appreciated!
