hacking into motion detector

Hey guys,
Anyone hacked into a motion detector and used this signal with basic
stamp? Of course, the output current on a high has to be around 20
mA. I'm wanting to use the detector's signal to be recognized by
stamp to control movement on a servo. Any ideas? Thanks.
Jon

What I did was remove the relay for output and install a resistor
across the coil terminal ( I used a pot first this allowed me to
vary the resistance while checking the current ) there is a point
at which the voltage on the resistor does not change from high to
low you back it off a bit and this is your lowest current drain.
I also removed the voltage regulator and used 4 c cells @ 6vdc
and this helped with current drain also.
