BS2 - Magnetic Card reader

I currently use a card to access the doors at
my workplace. I would like to use the same
card to open my garage door at home.
Interfacing the stamp to the garage door via a
relay is simple. However I am trying to figure
the best way to interface the stamp to a mag
card reader to read the data.
I have seen several places such as allelectronic.com
that sell used phone-card/credit card readers.
Would these work? Or does anyone have another
hopefully cheap solution/suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
William

Comments
that they had a bunch of used building card readers just like the ones we
use to get into our buildings.
You might check them out.

I saw recently at someplace, maybe BG Micro or All Electronics or Jameco
that they had a bunch of used building card readers just like the ones we
use to get into our buildings.
You might check them out.
