Well I did it! I read the MBR sector of my hard drive to
my basic stamp! Well, more like printed each of the 512
bytes to the debug serial display, but it worked!
I recently pulled out an old isa hard drive controler.
Its intresting as it uses 3 74ls245N buffers connected.
There are two gal16v8d's there too, but they are hooked
up with the DMA and the IRQ lines of the hard drive and
Isa bus. And the bios on the chip is independently
seperate from the controler circtretry. So I thought,
"Hey! if I just use 3 741s245N chips, I could memory map
it to the 65c02 processor I ripped out of this old apple.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
