Has anyone worked with the wedge shaped sensor that utilizes
IR? Electronics Goldmine has them. They look like triangles with the
exception that the point is cut off. I need to detect when a dot or line
has been encountered. I am trying to build a Scantron type machine to read
the dot-to-dots of standard test scoring sheets.
Thanks
Brian

their BOEBot line follower board. They work pretty well but can be sensitive
to I/R from sunlight. The small, rectangular Fairchild sensors seem to work
better but have to be mounted closer to the surface you want to scan.
