Using a hacked Polaroid sonar with a BS2

I am a student building a robot for my final project. I took the
transducer and circuit board out of an old Polaroid camera. But I am
having trouble writing the code to get it to work. What I want to do
is use it to measure the distance to an object while my bot is moving
and if an object is detected within say 15 feet, then the bot will
slow down. I am using PWM for speed control and it works great.
It's just getting the code to work. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend using the Devantech SRF04 ranging unit from Acroname $25
    http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/R93-SRF04.html
It has excellent resolution and range input. Acroname has code on their
website to interface it to the stamps also.
Jon Williams and myself both wrote articles about the sensor in N&V last
month. Apparently Jon was as impressed as I was with the sensor.
if you HAVE to use the poloroid sensor here is an article by seattle
robotics that may help you some.

Do you have a schematic of the wiring hack that you did? If I see It, maybe
I could advise you on the code. E-Mail schematic to
