Yes, it works.
To be complete I make everybody using Windows ME attent on the fact that
the Win ME FAT32 disk is inaccessible if you boot with a Win 95 disquette.
(The same is true for NT and 2000. I don't know for Win98 and NX.)
It is wise to make the startup disk in order to be able to recover the
data in case of emergency.
