This what I've found on the Mac platform:

Using a Keyspan USB to RS-422 adapter (which is similar to RS-232), I have
had no trouble what so ever in communicating with my Stamp based projects
and my USB based Mac.

I can use a terminal emulator on the Mac (like Hyperterminal) and send and
receive data on the BS2, via the USB adapter.

It also works well with stand alone applications I have written for the Mac.

Also, note that the Keyspan adapter I've been using is a USB to RS-422, not
USB to RS-232. However, it is easy to connect a RS 232 device to a RS 422
port (basically, you just don't use RX+ and TX+).

The Keyspan USB to RS-422 adapter also works with Virtual PC on the Mac,
enabling you to use the Windows version of the Stamp Editor on your Mac to
communicate with your RS-232 based Stamp.

Cheers,

Ben, Wellington, New Zealand, where it's FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! Thank God! :-)
