I was wondering if anyone had any luck trying to program a BS2 (or
any other parallax chip) on a Mac G4 running OS X or X.1
Thanks,
Mike P

Under system 9.1 and Virtual PC 4, I could run version 1.1 of the
Stamp IDE to program all of the stamps. But with the version 1.3 IDE,
I could program only the original BS2, not the multibank stamps.
When I briefly upgraded to system X and Virtual PC 5, I recall
running the Stamp 1.3 IDE but finding that it did not program
stamps. That may have had to do with the driver for the Keyspan USB
adapter. I didn't pursue it, because I switched back to system 9.1.
(I did not become a fan of system X--too many troubles with my main
applications.) The message is, you might want to try version 1.1 of
    the Stamp IDE.

I do almost all of my Stamp programming on real PCs, not on the Mac.

The Windows software works well using Virtual PC on a USB based Mac.
Also works OK running VPC under OS X.

I believe from one source at Parallax, that there is a native Mac version of
the Stamp Editor/compiler being written (although another source said there
    isn't).

I'd be happy to have a go at writing a Mac Stamp Editor/Compiler, if
Parallax is OK with that. Using RealBasic, I can write a Mac/Win/OS X
    version at the same time.

Would just need to know the protocols used to communicate with the Stamp,
and how to "Tokenise" the code, etc.

    Cheers,

    Ben.
