Hi guys
We sent a project we built out for field testing. It came back,
works fine, kicks back debug code to the programming software, but
will not accept new code??
One of the outputs drives a relay, and whenever we go to write to
the stamp, the only thing it does is the relay kicks off, then on
and the PC comes back with a "no stamp present" error??
Anybody have this happen before??
Thanks in advance.
Jody

Something likewise happened to me two days ago.
It turned out that my bs2sx (and bs2p) were held in reset
after the initial DTR pulse (identify command) from the editor
because an SX18 was connected with its MRCLR input to the
stamp resetline. The stamp worked just fine until I tried to
download new software.
Try downloading new software with nothing connected
to the stamps reset pin and see if that works.

I was setting up my BOE-BOT Kit going through the checkout and everything
was working fine. I then was
working on getting it to move in a straight line by doing software calibrations,
it worked for awhile then it did
not respond anymore and sent me the same message. I called Parrallax and they
said to send it in and gave me a
RMA #, so that it would not be returned with the package unopened. The Tech.
that looked at it said he found that
in the removal of the stamp from the board it scratched some of the traces on
the bottom of the stamp. This was
the first time I removed the stamp from the board, after the problem started and
I told him this. He sent it back
to the sales department to have it sent back to me, because it was working fine
for him. The sales department
sent me a new stamp because it was still under warranty. If it is out of
warranty they charge $10.00 + shipping
to send a fixed stamp or new stamp back to you. Send it in and see if they can
find the problem it takes about
ten business days to get it returned.
Have Fun !!
