Hey buddy do you have the time?

I've got a BS2P40 stamp and I'd like to add Time and Date values to my
data logging projects. I've come across three choices:

Pocket Watch B, $29 (p/n #27962) ,

DS1302 Real Time Clock AppKit $26 (p/n27921) and,

DS2404 "One-Wire" Real Time Clock which is part of the BS2P "Plus Pack"
AppKit $59 (p/n27953)

I don't know which one is the best choice for me. I don't mind
purchasing the Plus Pack since it'd be a nice excuse to also get a LCD
Display. What are the pros and cons of each, or am I looking to deep
into the selection process?

Are there other Time and Date sources to consider?

Comments are appreciated,
Chris Dundorf

We decided NOT to use the DS2404 in the Plus Pack. Instead, we went with the
Philips PCF8583. It's very easy to use with the BS2p and there is code
available on the Parallax web site. You can buy the chip from Parallax too.
The price is $6.50 and requires a 32.678 kHz crystal that runs $2.25. So,
for nine bucks you can add an RTC to your BS2p and still dangle other devices
    on that same I2C bus.

    Hello Chris,

As other posters have kindly pointed out, we offer the MightyMite,
which is a small SIP package that contains a DS1307 RTC, surface
mount crystal, 4.7k pull-up resistors (for the I2C buss) and your
choice of either 64k or 128k EEPROM. $15.99 for the 64k and $19.99
for the 128k. Since everything is already assembled, there is no need
for any external parts--it's all built-in. We also have software
    examples on the site.

    Good luck,
