LTC1290 and BS2

Hi Everyone,
I have been using the LTC1298 with good results. I have been cascading
multiple LTC1298's but I would like to now try a 8ch LTC1290. I compared the
datasheets between the two ADC's. I think that for the most part it is very
similar to the LTC1298 except for an additional pin called ACLK.
Here are the datasheets:

I am not certain what to do with the ACLK line, can I tie it together with
the SCLK?
I plan on modifying my LTC1298 code with the parameters changed to accomodate
teh differences. Mainly the channel selection. I haven't ordered the chip yet
because it costs around 10 USD and am not sure it will even work with the
BS2.
I did a google search for LTC1290 and BS2 and then with stamp but did not
find any info. If anyone has hooked up a 1290 to a stamp I would like to
know.
Thanks for any input

If you want to expand your ADC capability, try the TLC2543. 11 channel,
12-bit, and interfaces beautifully with the BS2. From Digikey for about 7.50.
