I have used such valves that open and close proportional to a 0 to 10 Volt
signal. I bought them in germany (RS electronics) but if you want I could
find out who makes them.

the Valve itself is RS 206 3586
and the module to control it is 206 3687.
Maybe you donot really need that module, I think it makes frequence out of
voltage or something...

That's almost exactly what I need. Actually 0-5 would be better but I'm
