I came across a neat toy several months ago that was screaming hack me. I
only paid $20 and after only a small amount of disassembly, I had a great
tracked base with independent gear/motors. I also had left-over motor,
remote control box (not radio), and a few other gears and plastic parts.
These are dc motors which require PWM or such to drive. I wouldn't enter
it in robot wars, but it can drive up a wall until it falls over on itself.
I saw it later in NutandVolts called the 'Kronos Krawler' for considerably
more $$$ (wish I would have thought of that!). Just my $0.02.....
