How to get DS1302 ....

OK - I apologize for being a bit of a grouch. I really thought my board was
clean - I cleaned it several times with several different solvents.....I
pulled pins 6 & 7 out of the board which I was able to do because the
crystal had been already soldered to them, and the clock started running. I
guess it is a bit sensitive, but I haven't paid as much attention to what
kind of wire solder and solvents I've been using.
Everyone's comments seemed to keep pointing in this direction, and sure
enough.....Thanks.
I will look into the PCF8583 also - it's good to have a mixed arsenal....

I have around 100 ds1302's in use with not 1 problem ever, accuracy is very
good.
