Hi,
Does anyone know of distributors for Max3110E Uarts? I want to build AWC's
Stamp uart project.
RS Components, CPC and Maplin don't sell the chip.
On their website, Dallax/Maxim want to charge $50 shipping to UK for a $10
part....

I'm sure you already looked, but Maxim lists Micromark as their UK
distributor ((01628) 676176). Might check this page if you haven't
already. Don't forget you need the crystal for it as well.

After the members of this list suggested I contact Maxim (thanks, group) I
ran into the same problem - $50 delivery for $30 worth of chips!
After more investigation I eventually discovered that you can purchase from
the local UK office with a ?6.50 delivery charge which is still high but
better than $50 + import taxes!
