sending binary

i'm a few days new to basicstamps (just received a BS2) and i do not
know where to begin code for sending a 7 digit binary number to
another TTL board. i believe i have wired the 2 boards together
properly PO - P6 out to other boards in's and P8 is my trigger to
other board. is this enough info for anyone to get me started?
