hatpin LCD

Looking for a tiny LCD I could pin or VelCro under the brim of my (floppy old)
sailing hat. It is to be a readout
for the telemetering speedometer I am working on for my R/C sailboat.
Digital thermometers, for example, have a tiny LCD, but rather than cut one out
of an existing product I would
prefer to find a supplier with a detailed datasheet and a controller to go with
the midget LCD.
Many thanks for your insights.

being worked- is one that may interest you...
I have small cell-phone LCD's w/ COG drivers that accept synchronous serial
comms. I am still working out some of the details for using them with
Stamps, such as the 3V rating, and I expect to have a working module in a
week or two. I started with these because I couldn't find anything similar
to what you describe for use on a project for a wearable device. As a
complete module, these will likely be about 1/4 in. thick and perhaps just a
bit larger than 1" X 2" with 90 X 40 graphical.
Might something like this be of use to you?
Might there be any interest in these by others here?
Chris
