ODD Parity for SEROUT on BS2p

Hello there
I have this problem and I would like to know if anyone can help me...
I have to control a Sony device (sound mixer) with a BS2p. The problem comes
when I find that the serial settings for this device are 8 data bits, odd
parity. Knowing that BS2p SEROUT command doesn´t have this kind of parity,
what´s the way out ?????
Best regards
Rui Patricio

Like you said the BS2 only knows 7 databits with even parity, the parity bit
being bit7.
So it must be possible to calculate b7 for the bits b0-b6 for odd parity,
and sending data out using no parity.
