Stamp Receiving Morse

Hi Folks,
I've been asked to see if I can make a stamp-based morse receiving module
for ham-radio morse-code tutoring.
I've been looking at the code required to do this, and been experimenting in
Delphi with some homebrew code on my PC as a first instance. I'm using the
shift key as the morse key. It sort of works, and looks like it can be
ported to stamp basic, and will make a neat project to put in the public
domain.
I'm sure my code can be improved - does anyone know of public domain
software source in (*any* !!) language that I can crib from?
