BS2 Robot direction adjust

I have a reworked BOE-BOT that I have been working with for a few months now. I
could use a little help with solving the problem of the bot not driving
perfectly straight.

I have tuned the servos and stepped through the pulse out numbers and my bot
goes fairly straight at 750 Left and 810 Right. The problem is that servo start
and or speedup keeps causing the bot to be just a smidge of center. Has anyone
developed some routine (not line following) that will help a bot stay on center.


Could anyone point me to a good resource for rotation sensors as well. Something
for measuring the distance a wheel has traveled. I would like some sort of
preprocessed or even strictly BS2 solution to counting maybe 10 marks on a wheel
and storing that number so it can be recalled and or reset at anytime from the
BS2 bot code. An example of this would be awesome.
