Color-coded wire sources?

Anyone know of a place on the web where I can buy color-coded wire? I
want to match an existing wiring harness, and have had no luck
finding a local source for green wires with red stripes, etc. TIA.

    Hi,

What I usually do if the required length is not too long, is to buy a
    standard
1:1 subd25 female subd25 male extension cable (they are available in lengths
    2m, 3m, 5m, 7m, 10m). These cables have 25 colored wires. The color code
you want might be among them. Usually these cables are less expensive than
    separate wires.

    Regards peter

I don't know what it does to the wire inside but taking the base color
wire you need, chuck it in your drill and twist the strand some. Without
taking tension off the twisted wire take an appropriate colored felt
marker and run a single stripe down the wire. Put the drill in reverse
and untwist it and the wire is striped and ready to go into your harness.
Might have to watch out for how well the marker ink "sticks" and dries
on the insulation of your wire.
