RadioSonde (Weatherballoon) sensors

Hi Folks,
I've acquired for Christmas the guts of a radiosonde weather ballon - it has
some handy, if delicate temperature and pressure guages and a neat 18 volt
radio transmitter.
Has anyone had any experience with this kind of kit for B.Stamp interfacing
either by frigging the PCB or by radio reception?
I've had a good search around the internet but found very little hard info.
I've sent an email to vaisala, but I'm not holding my breath.
It is a Vaisala radiosonde RS80-15n
Also has anyone got the spec of the RadioSond radio standard? I can't find
that either.
